This is a claim by Farhad Anwar (‘the Claimant’) against his former employer, Hopewell School Ltd (‘the Respondent’). The Claimant was employed by the Respondent as Lead Motor Vehicle Tutor, from 3 October 2022 until his dismissal. The actual date on which the Claimant’s employment ended was in dispute. 2. ACAS Early Conciliation took place from 15 August 2023 until 26 September 2023. The ET1 claim form was presented to the Tribunal on 30 October 2023. The Claimant brings complaints of discrimination by reason of disability, unauthorised deductions form wages and breach of contract. The claim is denied in its entirety by the Respondent, save that - 2 - it concedes that the Claimant was disabled by reason of physical impairments to his right shoulder, right arm and left leg. 3. There have been three case management hearings, culminating in a List of Issues (per the case management orders Employment Judge Gardiner of 1 April 2025), which the parties agreed at the outset of the hearing before me were the issues to be determined. 4. I heard oral evidence from the Claimant and, for the Respondent, from Olga Crosse, a HR consultant who has advised the Respondent for a number of years.
